One of the most rarest video recordings of whole Whitesnake carrier (no to mention that it was filmed during the "classic" and undoubtedly the best line up:

David Coverdale - Vocal

Bernie Marsden - Guitar

Micky Moody - Guitar

Neil Murray - Bass

Jon Lord - Keyboards

Ian Paice - Drums

This song is in my 3 favorite songs from Ws:

1. Medicine Man

2. Lovehunter

3. Walking in the Shadow of the Blues

And it was rarely performed live, just couple of times (3 i think) during Lovehunter tour in 1979.

And this one's one of those 3 live versions. I was so delighted when i got this recording, i couldn't believe it. I hope that it's going to be a threat for all Purple family fans around the globe.

Cheers to you all...

i don't know about there, or with them - but in canada it's standard practice to only be allowed to film, photograph, or record the first three songs at a concert, unless of course it's otherwise decided ahead of time.

Is this the gig where Coverdale told them to stop filming after 3 songs? Shame :-(

@theplanetking Indeed we do :) yeah it's farily good I suppose :) Oh really, when did you see them? I've seen them twice, 2008. (I'm only 21, so.. :P) yes, he does. I do think this line-up is the best, although my favorite record is slide it in and favorite guitarist in whitesnake was mel galley. may he RIP. but never prefered that line-up due to colin, and Cozy, as great as he was, he (to me at least) seemed to rush through the old songs (played excellently on slide it in though)

@leppardsnake Yes we have great taste. This is a fairly good recording and also very rare...I saw Whitesnake several times but I never heard them play this one. David sings it very well. Don't you think that this version of Whitesnake was the best ?

@TheZanipolo Micky Moody is wearing a hat too. But what do hats and being fat and hairy have to do with the great music this band put out ?

Brilliant, thank you very much for this! Do you know if the band ever performed Rock'n'Roll Women on the '79 tour? Another great song. :)
