Oh brother, just because he isn't a fan of guns doesn't change anything. People are allowed to think whatever they want

for me guns are for when the rich attempt to make it so you have to pay for votes.

freedom is about freedom and not restriction. what makes me leftist is that i would prefer if people were psychologically evaluated prior to being able to buy a gun, OR, make it manditory that everyone owns one.

thedarkesthole

@Ljungman42 hah. i'm probably as leftist as one can be and no i'm not anti gun. just so long as they're used...properly. i wont elaborate.

@Ljungman42 That's a retarded statement, considering there is no reason to "WANT" a gun. A car is "cool". An iPhone is "useful". A gun is pointless.

thedarkesthole

@Ljungman42 wait is there something wrong with being leftist

@TheJuliusSezer The 2nd Amendment was created to protect us from the tyranny of our own government and the right to protect ourselves from others that mean to do us harm. Just as important now as then. I would say it is far more important now. Now we have lowlife drug users and gangbanging thugs that would kill you for nothing.

@Araclain I hunt and also shoot just for fun.The fact that you use the term assault rifle tells me alot. A rifle is a tool. People are the problem. People with no regard for human life. People who would torture, rape and kill your family without a second thought. Drug addicted lowlifes and the mentally ill should not have access to a firearm. I have my guns to protect the ones I love from the scum that means to do us harm. We don't all live behind gates or have a police officer on every corner.

@djowink I'm sorry, why does a regular citizen need an assault rifle?

@Gearsandwar2 I understand his feeling. But until we can find a way to remove every sociopath, we are always in danger. All of us, not just the famous ones. I am just as much a target walking in downtown Toledo as a singer is on a stage. I have firearms to protect myself and my family. I have had training, and am approved to carry by my state. The 2nd. amendment gives us the right to protect ourselves. After it goes, so does the 1st. Iran and N. Korea would love to have all our rights.

Gearsandwar2

@djowink I disagree with his opinion on second amendment rights, but he's on stage and he probably has a constant fear of someone having a gun.

I bet Al loves his 1st Amendment rights. That is just as important to him as the second one is to others. I wish I had not found this clip. Al is not the great wise man I always thought. There is plenty of room in the Great White North for you Al. :(

i love weird al. i know what he means, but its still strange to hear him say "it kind of bugs me when people put their name on my stuff" cause, you know, thats kind of how he makes a living more or less.
