I have every song the Wedding Present released, and this is my favourite. I know 90% of Gedge's songs were about relationship break-ups, but there is just something so sorrowful in those lyrics. "What can I say, to change your mind, there'll never be 'another time'. A little bit of what you fancy doesn't do you any good at all. It's so clear to me now". Chokes me up as it reminds me so much of when my own marriage fell apart because of my stupidity. Oh well ...

Classic original Weddoes line-up. This is probably not often said, but although, OK, I know that Simon Smith was technically a more accomplished drummer, I kind of prefer Shaun Charman's drumming on songs like these. He keeps good time and plays a nice straightforward beat without distracting from the overall song.
