One of the largest gatherings of LGBT people in Russian history occurred when the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles performed in Moscow in 1999. Here's the climax of that landmark event in Tchaikovsky Hall, where tears flowed on both sides of the footlights. Watch the LGBT communities from Russia and the US unite for the first time, holding hands without fear of oppression or reprisal. Our message to the world: We Shall Overcome.

What a fantastic performance and I watched it with tears in my eyes. It just makes me so thankful for the freedom that I enjoy in my own country that allows me to be the person that I am. No 'life choice' ... just me!

May God/Allah/Buddha forgive those who trespass upon us. The GLBT will always ALWAYS be a part of humanity, past, present and future now matter where they are born. We are the new Jews, hated by Neo-Nazi fascists and Christian extremists alike. It's not PC to do this to Jews today, but today it is still ok to make laws against to us, to harass us, degenerate and isolate us, to maim us, to murder us, all under the guise of Religious Rights, Intolerance, Bigotry, and "protecting the children" slogans, and Propaganda Laws.

It´s a memorable moment of people´s unity. I would say that this is the most emotional thing that I have ever seen. I hope that we shall overcome, friends. It is not only abouе LGBT, but about humanity.
