Going to have to look up Bob Wills. My Dad's band sang this song all my life and I still have no idea who Bob Wills is. Somebody in Texas, and someone who Waylon loved.

No doubt he's the man and in my opinion is greater than Elvis. When he sings, especially live, my eyes water because I can feel it deep down in my soul..

In my humble opinion, this is still the best song Waylon ever sang (and wrote) :-)

Classic outlaw stuff. The beauty of this kind of music is its simplicity. Nothin fancy, no pretentiousness. The sound, the lyrics, it's all direct. Plain. Compare that with some of the current top 40 stuff going on. This is REAL music.

Possibly the greatest song he ever wrote, between Dallas and Austin, going to El Paso. It don't matter who's in Austin, Bob Wills is still the King! What a tribute! deserving too.
