listen to KILLING TECHNOLOGY, DIMENSION HATROSS ,NOTHINGFACE (1986 to 1990) and you will realize that there is NO other band like VOIVOD. Love Voivod! They have such a unique and distinctive sound. I love their use of unusual harmonies and symmetrical sonorities (tritones, quartal harmony, augmented chords). The new song from the upcoming album is fantastic. I also dig the odd time signatures and the flipping of accents in 4/4 time to make it sound odd. A very talented group of musicians, indeed.
