listen to KILLING TECHNOLOGY, DIMENSION HATROSS ,NOTHINGFACE (1986 to 1990) and you will realize that there is NO other band like VOIVOD. You have the mainstreem music,then the ones that goes to the edge of musical talent and innovation .When you get to the edge, you buy a ticket for a rocket ride to get to where voivod already went...like 30+ years ago.and still going. ride on!

Love Voivod! They have such a unique and distinctive sound. I love their use of unusual harmonies and symmetrical sonorities (tritones, quartal harmony, augmented chords). The new song from the upcoming album is fantastic. I also dig the odd time signatures and the flipping of accents in 4/4 time to make it sound odd. A very talented group of musicians, indeed.
