i think folks generally criticize the record VH3. as this tour was terrific, I saw them at MSG - Creed opened. Gary handled the Dave era stuff like a pro, which went over best with us in NYC. We couldn't have loved it more.

Couldn't agree more man. I expected more out of Van Halen's fans to look and LISTEN beyond the wild women, beer, and crazy times. But, ultimately, it was ALWAYS about the music. Gary moved the band forward and many fans couldn't keep up.

This jerk, Cherone, almost killed Van Halen.

Van Halen extremized : (

Wrong. Love extreme. Utmost respect for Nuno. That's what I thought when I first heard this. VH doing extreme. But com'on think a/b it. Nuno was in his room as a kid ripping off VH licks like the rest of us. If Gary wrote a song w/ Jimmy Page, it would sound like who? Still, people were way too hard on Gary.

Ya know.. I have heard so many people knock Gary since he joined this band, but honestly it is not his fault they tanked. I've watched Gary play live since the mid 80's with Extreme in small clubs and he was always a great performer. It's mostly because their material was weak. Eddie was just going through a strange phase and experimenting. He was always the one who wrote the songs and put the material out there. Gary just did his job the best he could and I give him lots of credit for it.

They sure do!

Sounds like an Extreme song and would have been better suited to Nuno ripping away at it. Essentially it sounds like VH doing a cover of an Extreme song. That gets a fail. The chorus is also flat.

The song works surprisingly well live. Cherone's vocal is a bit looser than on the album version (which definitely helps). The chord changes in the background harmonies are a nice addition too.

@Zman97100 Sorry they sucked with Cherone. He's a crappy singer. Plus just look at the guy.
