Oh please you do not reaqlly believe that! If you listen to EV you notice most of his stuff he use's flanger, and echo a lot. RR has more technic and cleaner. EV needed drugs to play that fast he even said that. I lost a lot of respect after I heard him say that, but I do like his stuff. Rhoads never copied anyone.

I have been playing since I was 9 years old....Ia m46 years old now.....still play....I did some lessons for 2 years a a kid..and bass lessons aswell..and play piano..well over 15 years....I am telling you,Edward Van Halen was a better player....but both were almost equal in playing......both passionate,both lived it and breathed it.....and they knew eachother from the early days,and were photographed in early 1981, a few times for guitar magazine and other publications...played clubs etc..

Yeah..ya think? get your head examined.......listen they are and were both incredible rock guitar players......Rhoads was brilliant and incredible, Halenwas equally matched, but if you listen carefully..just take a moment.....Edward was alittle bit better in style and playing... technic was a little bit more attractive........Rhoads actually copied some of his hammer on technics and scaling.....if you hear his solos....he is definitly trying to imitate Halen......weird fact,they knew eachother

Probably could have...Eddie though, is probably the most naturally gifted player to ever live. The question of what EVH is doing now, however, takes him off my list of current favorites. He appears to have no interest in learning and growing.Which is quite embarrassing for him. And that thing where he cheek kisses his grown (no dues paying) son on stage?...creepy as hell. After what happend to Mike, I will not pay money to listen to a spoiled rich kid. He may be a nice kid though, just sayin.
