The 2004 tour were bad shows for first time Van Halen concert goers. Sammy & Eddie were fighting big time. This was when there friendship ended. By the last show of the tour Eddie busted his guitar up from frustration and all the fans thought it was part of the show, which he did actually make it part of the show. The shows weren't half of the excitement of a normal happy Van Halen show.

to me, the balance tour and cd was the bands last haraay. After that. it was never the same for van halen. failed attempts to bring in new lead singer and reunite with Sammy for money only. and I wasn't even impressed with the roth reunion stuff.. after balance that was the end. plus eddies playing was great on the balance tour.

I agree. If Wolfgang wasn't Ed's walking jizzshot. He'd be home wishing his dad would croak so he could get dad's gig Ed's the one he should be replacing,not Mike. But what was Mike supposed to do between 1999 -2004,sit on his ass & wait on a a guy that was having health & marital problems?. Didn't get anyone to replace Cherone, but then again Ed said that if VH3 didn't work out he was going to retire. Where'd that have left Al & Mike? Ed just took too long to get back on track.

Really? What a laugh..Have you seen the outfit DLR wore in the Yankee Rose video? Gayer than what Rod Stewart used to wear in the 80's..DLR wore gayer outfits when he went solo..

and what is DLR doing now? They toured,but rumors said they were fighting.Could it be that Eddie and Alex aren't getting along with Dave and Dave isn't getting along with them? Possibly..This last tour DLR couldn't hit the high notes and forgot the words.More lame than this clip...

Sammy had a career BEFORE he joined VH or don't you know that? He had a successful solo career and was in Montrose before that..Sammy was in between albums before he got the call from Eddie..The first album they did went to number 1.A first for both of them..Eddie fired Sammy because they wanted to do a Greatest Hits album,but Sammy didn't want to do that.Plus,Eddie was drinking and doing drugs at that time and was hard to get along with.Ask Michael.Or ask DLR..

Eddie was in full flight alcohol and drug addiction causing a ton of problems. At this point of the tour Sammy did not want to be there. eddie was a wreck and the shows sucked because of it. Glad Eddie is sober now.
