To theaxeforever... I second that! Eddie could do it all man and his solos were only half of his genius playing guitar. Thanks to the person who posted this video! VH baby!

This track is chock FULL of Eddies often overlooked, incredible rhythm playing. I love his solos of course, but it's his rhythm playing that makes Van Halens songs so damned good. One of the best rhythm players ever. This song has no real solos in it, yet it was one of their highest charting singles.

Can someone tell me how he gets that "crispness" in that tone is it just the amp or is it someone else

Man he really dug into those notes. Awesome player. At 1:21 you see the epitome of his playing, note for note perfect. Tons of attack, super energetic sounding.

I just thought the end of the song was made with keyboards but Mr. Eddie Van Halen surprise me again after 22 years. Long live Eddie, long live the mighty Van Halen.

I still think this is Eddie Van Halen's best song. The chords are so beautiful (major for the most part which explains why this song has such a good mood vibe). And then there is the harmonic tapping solo! Unbelievable.
