This is Travis Tritt's excellent cover to Lynyrd Skynyrd's song "Don't Ask Me No Questions." The song couldn't have been better written. Sometimes when you come home you just want to relax and someone's always there to jump on you. This song describes the feeling of just saying "leave me alone."

This song is from the Skynyrd Frynds Tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd CD. It was released through MCA records in 1996. It has artists such as Hank Williams Jr., Alabama, Wynonna Judd, Steve Earle, Charlie Daniels, and Confederate Railroad on it...

If anyone from Travis Tritt or MCA would like this video taken down, feel free to message me and I shall do as such.

The story goes that when MCA decided to do this they talked to Rossington and got his input on artists to be on the record. He then called Tritt and told him about it and Travis said, "Can I be on it?" Rossington responded, "Hell yeah, you're the first one I called!" He then let Travis pick the song he wanted to do and this is it!

The song wasn't just talking about the road. RVZ didn't want to be bothered with petty crap. All he wanted to do is relax. But I disagree on your sentiment on covering a Skynyrd song. My belief is that, if you're going to cover a Skynyrd song you need to keep the feeling and the meaning of the song the same and not change it. Tritt, one of the best country artists, does just that. He keeps the song intention intact. That's why it's a great cover.

I always wondered how much crap RVZ took for writing this song. He is telling his friends dont talk to him if its about the road. Pretty strong stuff, but he had the balls to write it, remember this was the seventies. Travis is one of my favorites, but i dont believe anybody should cover a RVZ song.
