You know what I think is awesome about Bluegrass? All these stupid Hollywood fads have came and gone like head banging, getting krunk, grunge pits, lighting lighters in the air etc. and it's all for punks. I find it awesome that us white folks have been sitting calmly, observing the art of bluegrass in the same fashion for going on 100 years now. Look at a bluegrass audience of today and the respectful atmosphere is identical to the audience in this video from years ago when JD CROWE was a young man! Nothing has changed, what a great tradition this is. Don't ever let Hollywood ruin it, because they would love to if given the chance. Going mainstream would be a death sentence for Bluegrass, I hope it remains classy and far away from Hollyweird.

Some of the greatest moments I've ever had were at festivals like these. I'm so thankful for my real friends of the bluegrass community. I see a few negative or stereotypical comments, and that's to be expected because it only shows where the real ignorance exists. So come on down to a festival, open your big smart mouth, and don't forget that the hogs will eat everything but the teeth.
