I put together the Roxy audio with the Cactus video, it was not a big work because the guys played exactly at the same tempo the gigs (I didn't notice any headphones for a click-track)...they were simply amazing .

THE BAND:

Kevin M. Gilbert - Lead Vocals, Guitar, Keyboards and Bazuki

Marc Bonilla - Guitar and Background Vocals

Anastasios "Toss" Panos - Drums and Percussion

Spencer Campbell - Bass and Background Vocals

Sheryl Crow - Keyboards and Background Vocals

Agreed. I haven't heard their stuff for about 20 years, and I've forgotten how incredibly well written it is! Hard to find such depth musically and lyrically. Thank you for posting this!

Love, love, love the genius of KG. And he surrounded himself with world-class talent.

Her first solo CD used a lot of song co-written by the "Tuesday Night Music Club" that Gilbert had brought her into when they were dating. She took all the group's best stuff for her own disc and never contributed anything back. There is a good write up Joel Selvin at the SF Gate called "More Than `The Piano Player' / Dumped by Sheryl Crow"

You would think that someone (you) could just enjoy this great performance and how rare it is to find anything on Kevin Gilbert and Toy Matinee since KG has left this world. But no, you feel the need to focus on the fact that the video and audio don't sync perfectly; even though it stated up front that they were from 2 different performances. And if you are going to be so critical, at least get the correct name of the bass player.

Like nandomortani said totally different gigs. Pretty damn close. Nice to see the audio and video. Plus Panos's kick is almost spot on.

I love this band and the synching of the video to audio from another session is unbelievably good. Thanks so much for all the work to do this. Of course some people can find slight discrepencies but I think you did a phenomenal job or else these videos just wouldn't be the same without the audio. A big thumbs up from me.

I met Sheryl and Kevin outside the Ventura theater around that time. I can't believe what a backstabing cunt she turned out to be to him.
