(drum roll).... ladies and gentlemen.... may I present... the KING of NIHILISTS... Mr Townes... Van... Zaaandt!!!Now nihilism doesn't have to be a bad thing, ie life isn't worth living. Townes affirmed life, but he affirmed it from the perspective of someone who had understood all the very reasonable views against it. Yeah, this is a vale of tears. Yeah, most beings with a mind, spend most of their conscious moments suffering, or being confused, at best. He saw the joy in this crazy existence we have. He lived long enough to die of natural (or rather lifestyle related) causes, when he might have died in his 20s when he deliberately fell off a building. Our entire fucking world is richer, due to the fact that he landed properly (ie, not head first) at that time.
