I was just starting to learn music from all types of areas, and I was about 4 or 5 when I watched my first Tony Orlando and Dawn show and I was hooked on the "Tie A Yellow Ribbon" song. Cannot say why in detail I love it but I was a bit incarnated by the harmonic structure of that song.......

WOW! A trip down memory lane. I remember how this song got used to program AmeriKwans in to having a war with Iran back in yesteryear after Iranians had the guts to stand up to AmeriKwan Imperialism after they kicked the brutal AmeriKwan backed thug Shah of Iran out of dictatorship. AmeriKwans rallied together around this song that they weren't going to let some little country stand up to brutal thuggish AmeriKwans, no how, no way! And to this day, the morbidly obese AmeriKwan still believes....

On this day in 1974 {July 3rd} 'The Tony Orlando and Dawn Show' debut on the CBS-TV network... The show ran from 1974 to 1976 with a total of 55 episodes... Between 1970 to 1977 the group had twenty Top 100 records; with six making the Top 10 and three peaking at #1 {"Knock Three Times" for 3 weeks in 1971, "Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree" for 4 weeks in 1973, and "He Don't Love You (Like I Love You)" for 3 weeks in 1975}...

What a Great Group! Joyce Vincent of "Dawn" is on the Formerly Ladies Of The Supremes! They are getting ready to release a CD called: "Supremely Your's 2" check it out on Youtube. Also Joyce Vincent released a Christmas song called: "Christmas In Your Eyes" you can find that on youtube and you can downloaded. Joyce is also on a group called: "Tour De 4Force" along with her sister Pam Vincent which Pam did all of the TOAD background vocals & arrangements so there were three girls that were "Dawn"
