So many great traditional country singers but for me George Jones was the greatest.

Awesome. Hadn't heard this one in so long. Just a great traditional country by one of the best singer-songwriters of any era.

Unless my memory is rusty---I think Tom T. discovered and promoted Johnny and got him to Nashville in the beginning. Those musicians may have over lapped a bit, sounding similar.

Love songs like this---they make sense, and those musicians in the back ground are working hard to make it all happen with Tom.

You know the intro is similar to "Pass Me By If Your Only Passing Through" by Johnny Rodriguez, not sure but i think Tom T. also wrote this song.

Am I the only one who thinks this song recalls "Watermelon Wine"?
