greetings from kelowna,b.c.canada..sept.30,13 old side of town(which tom wrote) is still my favorite tom t. hall song. tom, of course, also wrote "the year that clayton delaney died", "old dogs, children, and watermelon wine", "i love", "faster horses", and dozen of other great songs. by the way. Unless my memory is rusty---I think Tom T. discovered and promoted Johnny and got him to Nashville in the beginning. Those musicians may have over lapped a bit, sounding similar.
