Tim has mentioned a couple of times that he would listen to a song and know that someone else did it,but he would wait sometimes a year or two before recording it. I like his version. but I am a Tim fan anyway.

Best of 2012 You know, the only genres of music other than country that have lyrics laced with honesty & striking aphorisms is rap. Maybe that's why I like rap so much. It's definitely why I like this fantastic riff on lost love & love itself

This wasn't written by him. It was written by Dave Pahanish.

The inspiration was Dave Panhanish's, as he is the one who wrote the song along with Joe West. check out Dave's version on YouTube. It is far superior to Tim Mcgraw's!

I agree with many others on this song....Tim does a great job, but the original done be Dave Pahanish is almost haunting....I saw Dave at this little dive bar in Nashville late last year...he was singing this song when i walked in....my GF and I sat and listened to him all night. ...and then i did something i have never done after seeing a live act, i bought 2 of his cds off of itunes. Dave Pahanish (w/West) also wrote "Right Back Atcha", and in my opinion, sang it the best.

Don't know why people are comparing this song with Katy Perry? Unless I've been completely misreading this song, the subject matter is completely different than Katy Perry's version

I actually kinda like Dave's version a little better. You know how the big labels like to over-produce songs. lol

damn this song is so good, and i turn up the volume, but there is a high-pitched sound that kinda hurts the ears lol
