What a great bunch of lads they are. The Jailbreak album was my introduction to this fine band. Emerald was always my personal favorite. The dueling guitars of Scott Gorham and Brian Robertson are mind blowing. Enjoy the slideshow of the band through the years

The chugging rhythm that plays is truly astonishing. Plus it exhibits the troubles that plagued The Emerald Isle, past and present.

I lived on a diet of Rock Music and Conan The Barbarian magazines from the age of 14 onwards and this record was never long off the turntable.

60s,70s Deep Cut Classic RockThin Lizzy with the final track from their breakthrough album Jailbreak from March 1976. On a side note this album will always be near and dear to my heart as I spent the summer of 76 near Denver Colorado and a group of us wore this album OUT!!! Volume Up!

For those that don't know. This is an Irish Republican song, about england trying to take the emerald, the emerald isle. I'm from northern Ireland but the meaning only hit me recently.

This takes me back to school, passed my music exam with it. My two cover pieces were this and Black Sabbath Sweet Leaf, had to do my own material for the 3rd part, which was pretty well influenced by Sisters of Mercy's First Last and Always album.
