*Rest in peace, Gary Moore... so sad of a day... your guitar stays with us, and you shall live trough it. Farewell...*

† Gary Moore was found dead in February 06 2011, while on vacation at Costa del Sol, Spain. †

Gary Moore and friends performing "Emerald" in the "One Night in Dublin: a Tribute to Phil Lynott" concert at The Point Theatre, Dublin, Ireland, August 20th, 2005. [Part 4/10]

The classical twin guitars strike again. Another classic.

---

Phillip Lynott was the bassist, lead singer, lead composer and frontman for the band Thin Lizzy, in wich Moore played for some time too.

Gary Moore (was) a renowed guitar player, his style ranging from Heavy Metal and Blues to Country music.

Brian Robertson is known for being one of pioneers on the famous "twin guitars" of the band.

[Parte 4/10]

As classicas guitarras gêmeas atacam de novo. Outro clássico.

---

I always liked Robbo better. He always let his solos breath. He resisted the temptation to show- off with all the shredding and machine gun soloing. He always played with feel and for the song rather than himself. His touch and gine was and is amazing. Great player.

Always loved this song. Love the whole Jailbreak LP. I'll never understand why the industry forces music into these narrow boxes. Hard rock. Metal. Punk. Death. Doom. Thrash. Alternative. Indie, etc. Then the younger musicians follow suit to the categories. Then their fans. Then the venues. Before you know it, guys are more worried about which Hot Topic patch of ripped T-shirt swatch they are going to pin to their denim jacket, than they are enjoying and honoring great undefined music like this. Montrose, Moore, Fripp, Beck, B. Campbell. Fuck now time is starting to take these guys from us. They can never be replaced.

Unfortunately in the once great USA a top tier concert of rock virtuosos might at best draw 300 fans. America is a 3rd World country now. Too much hip hop and pop. Real musicians must tour overseas to earn a living.

If there's a player you don't want to have a dueling solo spot against, it's probably Gary Moore.

All Lizzy fans should listen to Robbo's solo on the song Precious from the Wildhorses.

Watch/Listen to Robbo on 1:47 to 1:48 . That's why Thin Lizzy is so great for me. I can recognize Robbo's sound anytime.. Of course because of Phil and all the other members. Listen to Wildhorses ( Jimmy Bain and Robbo ) . It's the closest you can have to a Lizzy Album. His tone for me is the best in the world of rock n roll.

I live in Brighton, about two miles or so from Gary's grave in Rottingdean, I visit it a lot, it's nice to sit there listening to the birds singing and having a chat to Gary! This might sound a bit deranged maybe, but when you're actually sitting there it seems quite natural to have a one sided chat to a man who left this world far too early!

I hope they release this concert on a cd also. I wanna have my fix of " Emerald " and "Black rose" while I drive too and not just on YouTube.

Gary Moore did in fact steal this show guitar wise, even though he forgot the words in "The Cowboy Song". But like others have said, Downey kept it all together. Gary Moore and Brian Downey were without a doubt the best musicians on stage that night. Although Scott Gorham was good on his tunes
