This is a rare recording of They Walked In Line, from the self-titled album Warsaw, released in 1994. I am aware that Joy Division released this song as "Walked In Line" however it is titled as "They Walked In Line" in the Warsaw album.

Recorded at Arrow Studios, Manchester, England, May 1978.

There are few clips of the early Joy Division when they were known as Warsaw. I have uploaded all of the songs from the album with no copyright infringment intended. I make no profit from uploading these clips, and they are available purely for enjoyment and educational use.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me via a Video Comment or by sending me a Profile Comment and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

This version blows. There's a better version where he starts screaming at the end. This has no soul. And I'm a JD fan.

Fuck them . They dug their own graves. Trust me when I say they will be the first on the wall when the revolution comes.

That's what sucks, iTunes only has the Hannett version.

This is the only Warsaw version where I prefer it to the Hannett recording. Having Bernard's vocals loudest in the chorus seems to work for this one.
