This is the main theme from Jeff Wayne's musical version of "The War of the Worlds". As far as I can tell, the score is next to impossible to find. I've had to resort to playing by ear to get this far. I have to acknowledge the author of a MIDI file of this song floating around the Internet. I've used this for inspiration and "reused" one of its bass lines.

Audio Confessions - I generally play things live. However in this arrangement, the D-Deck is giving me more help than usual. The drums and registration changes are sequenced. I've also used off-the-self and programmed accompaniment styles. For about 1/3 of the song, I'm also using an automatic bass line. Finally, even though I swore I'd never use it, there's about 15 seconds of Melody on Chord towards the end.

Video Confessions - Clearly the video has been edited. I played the song three times with the video camera in three different locations. I then chose the video with the least mistakes for the audio track. The three different videos were then spliced together to produce the final result. BTW, the audio track came from the close-up version, and was recorded by computer.

Finally, sorry for the dud note in the last few seconds.

Hey, done like a pro, and I would know! I could never do the pedals...I pretty much stick to the "Ray.Manzarek"..Don't see those keyboards used very much in the USA, don't even know if they sell them here.

Might I ask what key this is in? Great work on the cover, learnt the guitar part recently and that alone was a challenge haha

Jeff Waynes musical version of War Of The Worlds. You do a real nice job of it. I dont normally listen to cover versions but you made a great job of this. It must have taken some preperation. I used to play in South Wales (uk) and could get back to Birmingham in one playing of the whole disc. That was back in the early 80's great to hear it again.

The standard pronounciation of "H" is "aitch", although "haitch" is becoming common. Using the standard pronounciation, it is an HX-1.
