SU: All right, this one I have read several different answers to, and people always ask and want to know, so what is Tyler about?Todd: Well I was with family in Tyler and we were sitting around the dinner table and they were talking about some kooky fucker who was peaking in windows and had some of the neighborhood freaked out. You know if the guy was knocking on windows and peaking then it was obvious that the guy, this probably didn't ever really happen, but it was going around the neighborhood so everyone was freaked out about it, and you know if you are peaking in windows in Tyler then you are asking to get shot is the first thing I thought. So anyway, the first part of the song is just about what if you were that guy, you know what if, I was just kinda going with that, and the second half of the song I just kinda made up what if he went ahead and went inside or whatever. I just tried to put myself in this fictional characters head.
