Charted at #70 on Billboard Hot 100 in March 1956. The last Billboard charting single for this group. They had two others: "Run Around" which charted at #20 in November 1954 and "Times Two, I Love You" which got to #67 in November 1955. The group featured Teddy Randazzo whose biggest solo record as a singer was "The Way of a Clown" (#44 in April 1960). He further went on to write many hits for other artists.
This song had been a #1 hit for Benny Goodman and His Orchestra in 1939, #10 for Bing Crosby in 1939, #16 for Count Basie in 1939 and #23 again for Benny Goodman and His Orchestra in October 1944.
Original Billboard review: "Interesting arrangement of the evergreen is sung with infectious spirit by the group. Should get lots of spins and the side could grab some loot, with extra attention due from the tune's exposure in "The Benny Goodman Story."" Billboard rating: 74 out of 100.
Written by Ziggy Elman and Johnny Mercer.
The other side of this single is "Tell Me (That Your Love is for Me)".
