I've never heard this version before, but I dig it. I really like most of the Supremes music. Does anyone here know why a lot of oldies radio stations seem to play a Vandellas version with way too loud piano and very muted lyrics? WDGY here in Minnesota plays it frequently, and KAZG in Phoenix would play the same one...

One of the few records where Flo would've been a better choice than Diana for lead.

Fabulous Diana Ross and the Supremes.

should have given florence the lead on this one, she has a more soulful voice like martha. diana great on the baby loves, but a bit out of her depth here

I feel like this song is for someone with a stronger powerful voice ..Martha did a much better job. Still love the Supremes tho

The Supremes version of this song is nice but The Vandellas own this song. It would be like Martha and The Vandellas singing Where Did Our love Go,it would be okay but it just would not have that Supremes sound.

People (esp. Diana Ross) should NOT cover Martha`s songs. Martha could really SING, Diana cant. This is like a mediocre Karaoke session in a pub.

The album on which the song was included made a history. For a first time a female group reached Nr. 1 on Billboard charts. Kudos to the Supremes and their composers Holland-Dozier-Holland. The Supremes sing the song almost as good as the Vandellas.

love me some martha reeves but one of the greatest things the supremes had going for themselves is that THEY COULD SING OTHER PEOPLE'S SONGS SO SO WELL. had martha ever covered a supreme hit?

Much prefer Diana's voice to Martha's.

Of course, the Vandellas own this song, but this version isn't bad. Try listening to Linda Ronstadt's version after this one. It almost sounds like her arrangement (backing not vocals) is based more on this version.
