With Roger in the fore ground, the camera angle makes Keith look about 3 inches tall

Damn , they're on fire. Heatwave indeed. Too bad the camera couldn't have got at least one shot of Entwhistle

nyterpfan: you're right. I saw them a number of times in '67/'68 and they wrote the book on aggressive Rock. At that time they were working hard to crack the American market, working their asses off, and making little money. Some of the concerts I saw were "free," like in Central Park. The anger was certainly good for the Rock 'n Roll. If this vid is any indication, the earlier shows were a gas too.

I like this & love Roger singing this song. He was gorgeous even years ago too.

Because the dominant culture is succeeding in its attempt to snuff out soul. They want all of you kids to march in lock step to corporate controlled entertainment. The clones are winning. What are you going to do about it?

it's a Rickenbacker 12. the original recording (that the who did at least) was on a 6 string. the reason he's playing it on a 12 string is because he used to smash the rics up enough that he would sometimes run out of 6 sting rics! he once rigged up a grimshaw guitar with ric pickups and trust rod cover because he broke all the 6 string rics he had at that time. so he commonly used a 12 when a 6 wasn't available.

Great, great version. Is that a Ric 12-string or 6-stirng?

The Who morphed into The High Numbers....then thank the rock gods changed their names back to The Who.

Dubstep and "Club Shit" in the pop charts. Country in Hip Hop, while Hip Hop is country. Rock is now "Pierce the Veil" and "Asking Alexandria" according to people I'm around... Honestly the last okay bands were "Nirvana" after that... "System of a Down' and maybe "Three Days Grace", but that went away pretty fast!
