(Pardonne je only parle Franglais). Yayy Guildford :-)

+bitterman1963 OK, Flanagans was a pub on the corner of Putney High Street and Upper Richmond Road. Now the Railway Tavern I think. I live just up the road and am of a certain age... Here they used to put bands on of the right persuasion. Look up Skrewdriver who played there and were ambushed and truly done over by a load of those Edwardian Boys. Can not remember seeing the Stranglers billed there but my Punk snobbery would have made me ignore them anyway. Looking back now how silly I was. Saw the UK Subs play another pub further down the High Street, I wonder... Bonne chance. On y va.

JJ Burnel does Jane Birkin LOL. That fucking french sociologist pretty much hit the nail on the head. Bastard. Still it was fantastic at the time I thought JJ was the coolest guy on the planet. Good video.

I've being trying to work out where this was filmed - it's definately not the Roxy in London, all the posters on the wall are in English with adverts for 'Flanagans'?
