I love the lo-fi shoegazing feel to this song. I would always zone out listening to this.

This one came out first, but the "original" one was more electronic-y and recorded around the time of Adore, and didn't come out til' 2001.

You said it. It was released on the online version and the versions given out on vinyl to the select few chosen, thereby making this the original.

Great song from one of the greatest rock bands. There is actually a higher quality version on the album, "Rarities and B-sides" Check it out, is has about 100 songs on it. A must have for any serious fan.

@nicholsjoshua15 I completely agree that Machina was awesome. It's near perfect. I've never understood the detractors' frames of mind, but no one's the same. I think it is an absolute beautiful and wonderful album.

@WindSolution1969 I think Machina: The Machines Of God was one of the best Smashing Pumpkins albums ever, as good a Siamese Dream to me. I really think there was not a bad song on Machina: The Machines Of God, it was very Gothic and heavy but also had a dreamy feel too. Of course this only my opinion.

@nicholsjoshua15 I don't think so, Machina I was an overall terrible album sung and played coldly by a band which wasn't a band anymore. Had Corgan put the best tracks off Machina I & II in a single 12-track album it would have been a very good one... but a double album would have had too many weak tracks.

I truly believe Machina: The Machines Of God Would have been the new Melancholy And The Infinite Sadness had the record company let Billy Corgan put Machina2: The Friends And Enemies Of Modern Music on the album like he wanted to do. Billy Corgan wanted to make Machina: The Machines Of God a double album but Virgin Records wouldn't let him.

Semantics. ; ) I know that it's not technically a b-side... That's just the term I use for songs that were finished but not put on the album, because, in reality, how many true b-sides are there... How many bands release their singles on vinyl, with the single on the a-side, and the other, the b-side. But anyway, this is a great tune! Machina II is a great album!

Neither are b-sides. This version was on on EP 1 of Machina II (released online), and the other version was an Adore outtake (not a b-side) later released on Judas O (along with Rotten Apples). Semantics though, I suppose. Both are great.

The more electronic one was a B-Side from Adore. This one is a B-Side from Machina. I love hearing how Billy can reinterpret his own songs for each era! Great tune! My favorite off of Machina II! Cheers!

This is the version that was included in the on-line released Machina II. The other version comes from the "Rarities and b-sides" album you can find in i-Tunes. I don't know which one is the original though...
