Wow. The Searchers' or Dionne's version, which is best? I'd have to flip a coin. Dionne's was first, and the song was probably written by David and Bachrach with her in mind. Each has its own merits, but I really love this version. Chris's voice was truly exceptional. I like Cilla's too, but I always found her voice to be a bit shrill.

This song sounds like "Things We Said Today" by The Beatles

Just re-visiting one of my favorite tunes lead vocal by the late, great Chris Curtis. He was a master at changing octaves. I'm running this as lead video on my CCF channel! Thank you, KT for the upload!

A great song, to be sure. And in fact, I consider Dionne Warwick's version of it to be the VERY BEST song she ever recorded.

@frizzlefrap Come over to my channel and you'll see a lot of Chris Curtis! He passed away in 2005, he was only 63. He had so much talent and a totally beautiful soul! RIP, Dear Chris.

This will always be my fave Searchers song, since Chris, singing it, had the most beautiful voice I've ever heard. RIP Chris. Thanks, ktoop, for posting it and keeping Chris talent alive!
