truth is kim fowley gave them drugs and told them to get on stage as he fucked the next promoter's wife to get the next deal, they had to do everything by themselves and fowley took the credit, if you watch the movie you'll see that in a sugar coated way, joan jett (black haired girl with the red attire similar to cherrie curry's (blond girl in gold) wrote the truth in her biography which she made after a 5 year rest to get clean and well it explains the real reason they broke up (movie made a blemish since it was quite horrible) which was lita ford was so jealous or cherrie getting more attention which caused a bust up where the studio got destroyed and they went seperate ways till kim forced jett back for 2 more tours without cherrie as front woman (jett took the role as she was the better singer of the 3 guitarists (fyi an eletric bass is part of the guitar family) but half way through the second tour yet again lita ford was jealous as she was the least acknowledged of the group and that was the end of the runaways and later the bassist and drummer died from drug overdoses within 5 years of each other and agruably joan jett had a more successful career than her former band mate lita (who claims the opposite despite hardly anyone knowing about her band outside the us) so cherrie has got close to jett once again (they once shared experimental moments together as the movie depicts) but neither has made up with lita as ford's ego made it hard one of the last times jett tried to get closure since ford threatened to sue jett if she depicted lita "wrong" in the movie (despite jett only having a say in her scenes not ford's) so yeah that's the runaways' gaff (their situation) on that old chestnut
