you can barely hear the sound for this video, but this all girl group justifies that a woman can do anything a man can do if she puts her mind to it. Its amazing in the movie the runaways how much the actresses look like the original band members. and they were all good looking, the originals and actresses. and I'm a black girl that loves rock by the way and I play guitar too! Lead electric like Joan Jett and Jimmi Hendrix!

You told her "i know you know them from the movie, which honestly doesnt make you a real fan." *You don't "know" any such thing.* And it doesn't matter HOW you discover a band; all that matters is that you DID! I was a teenage Joan Jett fan in 1980, and you couldn't read ANY of the MANY articles about Joan without being told the basic Runaways story! And the Runaways albums were in stores, if you're old enough to even *imagine* that. I bought 'em and decided I liked Joan solo better ("I Love Playing With Fire" was the deciding factor).There's no debating that they were more popular outside the U.S., but they were hardly obscure.

I grew up in this Decade. Lots of KILLER bands. Didn't get to see the Runaways but still liked them. We had no social networks. They could of been playing a block away and if I didn't drive by the venue they were playing at, anyone would of missed them. Thank God for YouTube.
