For all the summer returnees ... There never has been, never will be, another like the Roches. So original, and yet so respectful of the folk tradition.

It is so good to hear how many here for whom these voices and these songs bring them to tears. I guess that's just what happens when faced with all this pure beauty. A guitar strummed and the human voice. Direct words of hilarity, rage, horror, whimsy and daily banality come in a pure stream of white light. The Roches never cease to make me cry, and it's some of the happiest crying I've ever known.

This song reminds me, ... of me. Seriously, it sounds like it was written about me. Probably many others too. I am a goose. LOL... These three ladies are the best folk trio I ever heard. They are very original and sound beautiful. I hope they never retire from music.

They really catch the sense of retirement, don't they?

yes, ...me too. I remember those days like yesterday...I still have the vinyl. Fed these ladies when they played Cain Park Amphitheater in Cleveland...what an honor just to breathe the same air...

I don't really find it sad, but at the same time, I tear up, or at least come close to it, every time I hear this song.

Just got my copy of the cd last week (only had it on tape before); I've played this song over and over and over again since it arrived. Fantastic.

I love this and the Hammond song. It really encourages me to change and get going with my life! I used to listen to these during my divorce and now I listen again for other reasons. I love this song tho, it might be my fave!

Sublime simplicity. Those voices with that guitar. One of our planet's finest pleasures.
