An alternate take. The demo is also up on my page, from the Sire years.

I love the false start at the first of the song.

Raw and "unpolished", but I love it, especially in contrast to the studio release. Some different lyrics in 2nd verse and different phrasing all throughout. Plus the 3rd chorus breakdown is completely different. Thanks for posting.

Great music is timeless.. and that's why I loved the game. Unforutantley a 5th xbox dying on me soured my opinion of the xbox in general.

I don't play Rock Band, but my kids do - and I have to agree - this game DOES musically connect generations - exhibit A: My 8 year old son bustin' out the lyrics to "Mississippi Queen" seemingly from nowhere while we're out for the proverbial Sunday drive - Priceless!

reminds me of their sound check at their last show, free thing at taste of chicago fest. Got there at 8 am, they came on at 5, I got sunburned...only show i got 2 see...vets said they seemed "tired" or whatever...understandable, they were done...it was still one of the best shows I've ever seen. Thanks, god!!

Also, the alt. take is just a take they did during the same session. I have a bootleg called "Pleased to Meat Me (it's misspelled, maybe on purpose?) Sessions" on a blank vinyl. A lot of these are demos, to my knowledge. There's also a lot of random "guitar fills" that are titled like, "Guitar fill #1" etc It's on my computer. I'm sure it's also floating. I don't know what WGM would or wouldn't remove anything for copyright. I think the vers. of I Don't Know in my profile is from those sessions.

It's cool dude. But did you check out my demo on my page? There is also a fake demo that I REALLY need help ID'ing. If you have any idea, it would be helpful. I've posted on a number of 'Mats sites. There's misconception within that bootleg's post that it is an original, but it definitely is not. I'll message you...

I'm gonna take you're word for it man but was always under the impression that an alt version happened after the official song came out while a demo was made before the official song.
