Green Day are pretty good, but Billie (the lead/ song writer) said he was extremely influenced by The "Placemats" (<-Kinda a fan joke name, you don't need to get it) He gives a lot of credit to them. He even put the name "Mr Whirly" in a song of his called "Misery" as a momento.
