lol so many people in germany want to be accepted as "real" germans ( which they definetely are because they are born and raised here) ....and when i read some comments here it seems some canadians or americans claim to be scottish or whatever because their grandparents used to live there? i dont fucking get it ... or when americans say i'm part german and part irish for example lol .... what the fuck is wrong with you ppl ^^ check your ID ...not that it really matters where you come from ..i dont give a shit about nationality....but i still dont get it .....

Very true, I personally love it when I bump into people in Glasgow who are scots born abroad, scots are warm to people outside of scotland, not so much to people born inside scotland.. heh

far from the truth, with the whole independence debate right now it has shown the patriotic side of scots, problem is alot of people see nationalism as linked to nazi germany, you cant be patriotic as a scot or your seen as a nut job, but its fine if your marching around waving an orange sash and singing about the good old days of Britannia, you cant call yourself a scottish patriot if you live abroad.. sorry but you cant, call yourself a scot, but dont diminish us born and raised in scotland ;)

He's been getting trolled by a guy on here, now I personally have no problem with anyone with scots heritage, our ancestors spread all over the world and did great things, nothing to look down on there, but if you truly see yourself as a scot get your arses over here and spend some time in scotland! the scottish home coming is a great time and you can spend time with the clans in Edinburgh! you will always have a warm welcome in scotland regardless of what people say

99% of Scots are VERY proud of our diaspora and North American and Oceanic Scots, don't let some we edjits on youtube get you down pal. I'm ashamed of them.

Wow was spelling fucking "fookin" a sad attempt to sound Scottish because we pronounce it as fucking yank. Oh but you did get yer right, but it's still incredibly cringe worthy as you're a yank stop stop trying to write in Scots and learn your fucking place.

No yank I am a Scotsman with no English ancestry what so ever, and I can say that without uttering one word of a lie can you yank?

Sassenach.

Wow the yanks and Canadians have voted my comment down, it's a sad state of affairs in deed when a true Scot can't voice his opinions for foreigner's inferiority complex. Their is one negative effect of Scottish independence our city's (Scots city's not plastic Scots city's) will be over run by cringe worthy tourists desperate to find there clan tartan. Suddenly a scene from train spotting comes to mind.

MacTrollie

Wow I've never seen such rubbish in my life, but then again you are a yank.

What about you is Scottish Tony because blood is nothing without a life spent in Scotland nothing at all. Now be a good wee Canadian and shut the fuck up.

Fuckin' right b'y! My Douglas and Thompson blood beg to differ as well. Family immigrated to Canada three generations ago. I still feel connected to my heritage though.
