The slowest tempo I've ever heard of any cover of this song. The Airplane really rocked it up, on the opposite end of the spectrum.

Zappa also played the killer bass on this. I recall reading an article (in Hit Parader) where Burdon discussed the session, followed by a social at Mr. Zappa's where the Animals were entertained with films of a guy picking at scabs on his legs. This was before cable TV, of course.

Awesome! I haven't heard this one in eons and I LOVE it. This song seems quite under apeciated. What a shame. Eric has always rocked like such a bad ass.
