Rapturiously adored in 60's England,The Move toured only once across the U.S.,to little acclaim. Shame, that is, as these Brummie Rockers absolutely killed on stage, and, moreso, on record.

This band, which has familial ties to Black Sabbath, Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Electric Light Orchestra, The early-seventies fifties revival, the Glam scene etc., is well worth the music fan's consideration.

Carl wayne was one of the 1960's best frontmen...psychedelia at its best..

Just remembered! Read a music mag some years ago, Uncut or Mojo, can't remember which. Some journo remembering the the first time he saw Pink Floyd in the '60s. He wrote ''Pink Floyd came on stage after a thuggish turn from The Move, a bunch of Brummie hard men in kaftans''. I think I'd rather listen to The Move than some Pink band!

If someone held a gun to my head and told me to pick my favourite single of the 60's, it would be this!

At least Syd Barrett has a cult following. I've just found this; great style of psychedelia! Truly if music doesn't tickle the natural psychedelic cortex then smiles lesson. New bands need to revisit this era, borrow if you will the sense of musical freedom and creativity.
