Davey was always my favorite Monkee he is such a doll in this video & was even up to his death. We lost a great talent when we lost Davey I remember seeing him on The Ed Sullivan Show on 2-9-64 when he appeared with the cast of Oliver. Yes folks that was the same night The Beatles made their first television American debate. That's actually a myth granted an oft-repeated one, but a myth nonetheless. The song wasn't innocent, though. It was sort of taunting a girl who'd given up her innocence to a boy only to be left afterward as he moved on to another girl. It was sort of a "Look it's been fun, but we're done now." Not quite as vile as a gang rape, but definitely not pure as the driven snow, either.
