found out about this magical freaggkin song at 14 in 1993 when i rented mike myers film so i married an axe murderer u guys all know the scene with mike drivin down an seein his love interest that actress i forgot her name but she was real good and actually worked well with mike myers unorthodox comedic style in the film love the other version of the song

why does lee mavers look so different here than in the way out video. i would never think it was the same person. just thought it worth mentioning that this video far better suits this song than that other version all brightly coloured and with some tart in fishnet stockings. this video is much better. one more thing. any idea what acoustic guitars mavers has used? seems he had quite a collection of really old beaten up looking dreadnoughts. really sexy as hell looking guitars, perfect for a master of the art like mavers.

I'm not much interested in the subject of the video, but this 'US Version' is actually the original British mix of the single, released around October '88. There are many differences to the 1990 single mix, two of them being: only two guitar riffs at the beginning and John Power's louder backing vocals in the second half of the song.

This was the version played in Australia, minus the glitches. Just beautiful...the days when you could actually listen to the radio with tracks like this, not the pretentious, tedious, talentless bullshit marketed to death and churned out nowadays. Fuck that we'll stick to our music from the 80s and 90s (the bands still headlining festivals nowadays in their late 40s/50s - no wonder!).
