" Jennifer Eccles", 1968, co-written by Graham Nash and Hollies leader, Allan Clarke. Although Nash had now left the Hollies to move to California to form CS &N. An in joke about their wives.

Happy Birthday *Graham* William *Nash* , OBE (1942.)As I said, there might be a #squirrel going on here.A little ditty he wrote with Allan Clarke when he was with The Hollies. And yes, he is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice - once with The Hollies and once with Crosby, Stills & Nash.#dapimusic #mymusichangout #poprock #grahamnash #singersongwriter #guitarist #keyboards #harmonica #drums #photographer #activist #thehollies #crosbystillsnashandyoung #crosbystillsandnash #crosbyandnash #davidgilmour #jacksonbrowne #rockandrollhalloffame #bornonthisday #bornonthisdate

The name Jennifer Echols was likely quite common so I'm sure anyone with that name really loved this song.

Asfar as I am aware, Croatia wa behind the Iron curtain at that time..so how did the hollies manage to get a gig out there and how did the Croatians know about them?

Has the name Eccles a special meaning or does he refer to somebody in real life? English is not my mother tongue.

Mr. Nash has to be the nicest and friendliest rock musician in history of R&R. I am reading is book on line if your local library has ebooks you can read for free. Great book. This isn't one of the Hollies better songs in my opinion. Never heard it til I read book.

"Graham hated this song so much, it's supposed to be the reason he ditched the group."Well, he co-wrote the song so it's a bit of a stretch to think that he left the group because of it. "Right, I'm off. I hate the songs I'm writing!"

Its sad when someone treats their own band members with such disrespect. They still went on to have loads of hit records without Graham so he wasn't indispensable like he thought he would be. Anyway I like 'Bubble Gum' and the world is a 'happier' place for having this cheerful, innocent song in it.

Graham hated this song so much, it's supposed to be the reason he ditched the group. He considered it bubblegum. And yes, Graham was being annoying here.
