When I hear music like this, I feel slightly sad; good music and intelligent lyrics are a thing of the past.

Good stuff! I remember seeing The Grapes of Wrath at UNB in the fall of 1987 (with The Waterwalk & 54-40).

Beautiful. And if you haven't listened to their latest album, it's a gem too.

Used to play this record after we wrapped nightly in our t.v. studio in Vancouver, after everyone left the control room and things were quiet,I would throw 'Treehouse' on the record player and crank it in an empty studio. Thanks for the memories.

Listening to #GrapesofWrath always makes me slightly melancholy.

This song is one of the reasons why Canadian music from the 90s was so good

My family used to listen to this song on road trips across Ontario to see extended family when I was little.

Such a wonderful song and video. Ya know, it's wonderful to have a part of our own culture making up our culture, as a young Vancouverite of the time. They were of what was going on elsewhere, but also of here. Ours, ya know? I remember them playing the Comodore Ballroom when I was 15, and asking the audience to move back and sit down, and like good hippies we gladly obliged. : )

Such great old music, so few views. WTF. Even GOW's smallest concerts had more people than this.

Excellent harmonies and lyrics, my favourite band by a country mile. I remember listening to the Grapes with my girlfriend back in 88 many times after school. I had the pleasure of seeing them at Barrymore’s in the late 90’s with my wife (my girlfriend back in 88).
