The whole Lake Ontario thing is NOT lost on me. Never did I appreciate my home province so much until I left and went west....felt like a Canadian till I crossed those Rockies and boarded that ferry for the island...sorry islanders, but I never felt so disconnected or judged till I landed in Victoria. Thought I'd love it and was eager to. All about the money my friends...the car you drive (Beamers and Acuras are the top sellers) the house you own...west Saanich and east Saanich are quite different it seems...the nicest people I met came from Detroit and Saskatchewan. If you don't earn 100 k plus you ain't gonna "fit in". Could have been living in the USA and not noticed a difference. So happy to be home. Cheers all
