First of all, everyone's shirt changes in this video. And Thomas even goes as far as to switch guitars. And the reason Tim switched to a sleeveless shirt on the second day of filming was because the warehouse this is shot in is so hot.

+voteZDLR I feel like that is partly what they tried to do on certain parts of In The Unlikely Event with songs like Single or Empty the Clip, but even that album wasn't a complete transition. However, I do think that if they would have made a bunch of songs that sounded like FCPremix, they would have garnered a little more attention. Even I have to say that initially, FCP was the first song I heard; when I purchased Doppelganger I didn't like it at all until months later when it just finally clicked with me how amazing the music was. But I was one of those people who expected Doppelganger to sound just like FCP, and what I got wasn't what I expected. Luckily I kept playing the cd over and over again, and now The Fall of Troy has been my second favorite band for years.

I really don't like the production on Manipulator, it just sounds so flat and lifeless

I mostly agree, this band is so wickedly talented, the whole screaming thing for me was an acquired taste, but to this day I feel like they would have gotten even more famous if it weren't for the screaming. And I also wonder if it would even be mainstream enough for commercial success, just because of the whole math-rock thing they have going on. Brilliant musicians, just maybe not commercially viable. Fuck that, though, I wish TFoT would reunite.

Fall of Troy was the worst band I've ever seen live but I like this one well not the screaming part but when they sing it's better. I like the prog bits, but again the screaming is just for a younger croud, they do seem to have talent though.

I dont necessarily I think it was his ego, I think it was their more produced sound. This had much better production value, when music like theirs needs its natural raw element. Whatever it was that broke them up, they need to get back together

i dont think this is one of their best songs

essentially the beginning of the end of the fall of troy. Not to say this is a bad song by any means, it's just completely obvious that Thomas's ego is taking over. It's fucking apparent and sucks.
