I always considered TFOT as a progressive hard rock band, never associated them with any kind of core. At parts they seem to leaning somewhat into some kind of progressive metal, but I stand by what I said earlier. 10 years ago

Core kids generally don't like anything out of that genre, thus deemed close minded. Being close-minded is a sign of ignorance and for some people, including me, ignorance is fly that just won't go away so you feel as if you have squash the fly, metaphorically of course. Used to be one of those, not a core-fag, but didn't like his voice. Anyway, kept listening them because his sick guitar playing and beautiful screams and eventually realized that his singing ability is fucking crazy with how high he can go and the control he has; dark trail, sledgehammer, shhh!!! I'll show you a dinosaur, chapter 3, sparticus, etc. It blows my mind. I actually started hating some of the old bands I listened to because of how monotone he made them all sound lol.10 years ago

it's easily the best written whereas doppelganger and fall of troy were way more edgy. and everyone expected in the unlikely event to be like everything else when they were deliberately trying to do something different. when you listen to it from a new perspective it's actually not half bad11 years ago

I've listened to the first three albums and I think this is one of the best, sure some of the songs are repetitive, but some of them (AKA: Semi-Fiction, Seattlantis, Ex-Creations, and Shh!!!) are unique and pretty damn good11 years ago

I belive the fall of troy were excellent on there self ttled,Doppelgänger, and ghostship demos. But this wasnt as great but mediocre.the last releases were awfully horrible as for my opinion11 years ago
