True Spanish Castle magic here. I haven't heard this one in decades. Thanks a million to Little Steven (and The Underground Garage) for playing this gem last night!

A monster radio hit is the Northwest, every one did a 'cover version'-every Friday and Saturday night @ the 'Castle', Target, Eastside, Parkers Ballroom, Red Carpet-$2 brought you to this level of bands in the Northwest in the 60's. Great time and great place to grow up surrounded by this level of 'local' bands

@gki610 It's funny how we don't think of our old neighbors as being anything specatular until they move away and surface on the air or silver screen. Singer Al Wilson, David and Jimmy Ruffin grew up down the street from my family all at the same time years and years ago...who would have thunk?

The Wailers used to tour up and down Oregon and Washington. I used to go to their shows when they played in Eugene, Oregon. They were the most versatile band out there in those days. I once read that when the Beatles played in Seattle in 1964, they made a point of paying homage to The Wailers by visiting their recording studio.

What?! She even took his guitar? Almost as bad as if someone spat on my blue suede shoes. If, I cut him all to pieces, in the gutter.

Heard this one sometime in the 1980's. At that time I never connected it was same band that recorded the "Tall Cool One" and their version of "Louie Louie", among others. Never mind as it stands on its own two legs.

Saw 'em live at Veterans Hall, Olympia, WA. Note: they start the show with a BANG, no fooling around! Always sold out.

@dclavesilla - I saw The Sonics, a Seattle band, preforming some years ago. Talked with Gerry and Rob after the show.
