Very good song about a largely forgotten war. The only reason I actually know about the Seven Years' War is because of family history-my ancestors fought in armies of both Prussia and Her Majesty in that war.

This is talking about the Seven Years War(1754-1763), where the Empire of Great Britain was allied with Prussia against pretty much the rest of Europe. There were British forces fighting alongside Prussians in Germany, for Germany at that time was broken into various sub kingdoms(Prussia being the largest), and many being invaded by vastly numerous army's.
