Great song from the Stampede album, before they went in a totally different direction. I do not own the rights to this.

I know that this song came out on a single, possibly even as a 'double A-side' (I have it archived). This version sounds different to the single as I remember it, is this the what we knew as 'extended album version'?

Oh for fucks sake, it was two different bands. The musicians in the Doobie Brothers, even including Tom, at the beginning, wanted to go in that direction. After Tom left, the band fully invested in that direction by their own accord, nobody forced them to do that. The only one who didn't want to go that way was Baxter, and even he was playing with Steely Dan any fucking way. Get over it. Two different bands. I love them BOTH.

The addition of Michael McDonald to the band made me give them up as a favorite.
