Yeah, that is a flat-out copy. Theory: Allison Robertson recorded the backing tracks in a home studio as an exercise in figuring out the original. When they heard about the Rubber Soul tribute album, they put vocals on it and offered it up.

i don't know -- i like it -- but it sounds karaoke to me in a way. are those really the Beatles playing instruments and they are over-dubbing their voices?? if not, the arrangement is uncanny and almost eerie in its resemblance to the real thing.
