Country Music at its best! The best era of country music absolutely has to be the mid to late '80's til the early '90's. Country music was diverse. You had the tail end of Urban Cowboy, Neo Traditionalists, Singer/Songwriters,& all the older artists too. That was such a great time to be a country fan.

All I can say is, while I wasn't into this band, they sound so much a cut above the rest, because of Mr. Chris Hillman, who brought more than 25 years of being in The Byrds, The Flying Burrito Brothers, the band that could arguably be the band that started "country-rock", and Manassas with Stephen Stills...

I think they were too cutting edge for their time. They blended country with bluegrass style vocals, folkish songs and country- rock drive. They flirted with commercialism, but weren't mainstream enough. That's why they didn't last longer, but that's also why they were so good!
